To demonstrate my knowledge of analyzing and drawing conclusions, I am providing a poster and PowerPoint presentations of my analysis and conclusions from various projects.

Examples of Analysis and Drawing Conclusions

  • This poster was a course assignment for CHEM 4480: Directed Studies. It summarizes the application of ortho-metalation reactions in making novel herbicides from different secondary amines. Although it shows that the second step of the reaction failed, it still proves that I am able to draw conclusions as to where I went wrong during the synthesis and improvements for future work.

  • I presented at the Canadian Mineral Analysts (CMA) 2024 Conference on my research project with Dr. Kingsley Donkor on “Determination of Trace Metals in Canadian Bee Pollen by ICP-MS”. This 15 minutes presentation was a great experience for me to disseminate my findings on how mining may affect the bee population through the bee pollen samples being analyzed to mining industry professionals.

  • I presented my preliminary findings at my Honours Update for CHBI 4990 to an audience of faculty and students, where I was able to analyze and discuss early results. This experience allowed me to critically evaluate the data, draw conclusions, and communicate my insights effectively, demonstrating my ability to interpret research and contribute to scientific discussions.
